Fiona says . . .

BANANA! Fiona has been saying Mama and Dada and sometime BaBa for Bye Bye but we are counting this as the official first word! I can't wait to hear what else she has to say (or maybe I should be afraid of what she has to say . . .).

Take a Moment

Since January, life has been amazing at the Hull house. Chip gets home from work earlier now and we have so many more family moments than we used to. I don't have a picture from what happened yesterday but it is probably one of my top 5 memories from Fiona's first year.

She was taking a bath and Chip was helping her out. I walked in after doing some chores and we started tossing a ball into a net (bath toy that Chip bought for Fi). Something about what I was doing was hilarious to Fiona. She started laughing and clasping her hands in front of her and bouncing up and down in the tub. We would laugh back and she would start laughing even harder. She was laughing so hard, she started to turn red.

Next thing I know, we are all three laughing up a storm. It was the best moment ever. You know those times when you think your heart will burst because you are so blessed and experiencing so much love? That was it :)

8 and 9 months

I know I know. SO BEHIND!

Oh well! Here is a look at the 8th and 9th month of Fiona's life and this week is 10 months! Ah!

Catching this photo was so hard! So the 8 month had to go on her arm :) This was a HUGE month for Fiona. Not only were we entering the holiday season, but we were entering the time when a baby goes from being a baby to not in my opinion. She ate a lot more and *drum roll please* started pulling up on furniture!

9 Months!

Grandparents

So the reason behind me being behind on my posts is this: we had the misfortune of losing three grandparents between Thanksgiving and New Years. It was a rough holiday season. I lost my only biological grandparents left: my mom's dad and my dad's mom; and Chip lost his grandmother, Fiona's namesake. You always know that the day will come but it doesn't make it any easier. What hurts my heart the most is that my Grandmama never got to meet Fiona. I don't think I'll ever get over that. However, when I think of how their faces lit up by Fiona's presence especially for Rosie and Pepa who were sick, it makes me so glad for the time we had.

Here is a little picture memorial to the people who made our amazing lives possible. We will miss and love you forever!
