Maeve Georgia Hull is here!

What a week it has been! I was induced on the 10th at 6 am and Maeve entered the world that night at 8:30 on the dot! Labor was very different this time and thank god for that. I'm not a huge fan of induction but after we saw the size of this little girl, I'm glad we did it. I labored for a bit without the epidural which was good. They even let me get out of bed and I was able to drink apple juice.

Daddy sleeping. There may have been some football watching too.

We had a few touch and go moments. At one point, I began to run a fever. They literally put ice packs in my arm pits and we were able to bring it down without antibiotics. Around 4 cm when they were really pumping the pitocin I opted for the epidural. I went as long as I could but was having crazy back labor. We were quite afraid that she was sunny side up but I think through help from the nurse's knowledge of positioning, we got her to turn. At about 8 cm, my epidural started wearing off in one spot of my body. It was bizarre. They tested me and it was indeed working but I started to have excruciating pain. The pit was pumped up pretty high and my contractions were back to back with no break and weren't really coming down from the "wave". I didn't think I was going to make it but Chip stood by and kept me calm and breathing. I've never been in so much pain in my life! After tracking down anesthesia, I got a shot of something wonderful and was able to rest. When it came time to push, little one was so ready to come out. I pushed for maybe 10 minutes. Unlike her sister, she cried and let us know she was here!

9 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long!

Fiona meeting baby sister for the first time.

My sweet family of four!

Like her sister, she held her head up at the hospital.

Maeve's favorite way to sleep. No joke.

We only had to stay for 24 hours at the hospital. Even though Maeve was a big baby, her glucose tests came back normal every time. My doctor was amazing. She was out of town when Fiona was born so to be able to experience this with her was a dream.

What a difference this experience was and is. Maeve is truly a blessing and having her home with Fiona is a dream come true, one I didn't even know I wanted! My recovery has been so much better this time too. Fiona is an amazing big sister and has dealt with the change like a pro, but I'll have more on that later!

Halloween!

Halloween has come and gone. I'm still trying to explain that to Fiona! Can you blame a 2 year old who got to trick or treat 3 times? So we usually start Halloween morning by going to Gigi and Papa Doc's office. They host a trick or treat for the preschool behind them and Fiona gets to participate. She wasn't feeling too great this day (which we later found out was a virus and ear infection) but she enjoyed herself!

After trick or treat, we went to music class! Gigi was so sweet to go with us as I'm getting far too pregnant to do everything we have to do in music class.

Fiona and her best friend Anna! Clearly, they liked having their photo taken.

After we got home, had some naps and snacks, we got ready for the trick or treaters to come to our house!

Daddy and Fiona about to go stop by a few houses.

Fiona helping Daddy hand out candy. I think she enjoyed this more than the actual trick or treating! She would say "You're welcome. Happy Halloween!" So so cute.

Finally, I thought this would be fun. Fiona has been talking about being minnie mouse for months. I remembered that I had been minnie mouse at some point too so my mom sent over a picture. People always say Fiona looks just like me which I deny. I see a lot of Chip in her and she looks a lot like her Aunt Rachel sometimes too. But side by side comparison confirms, this kid is mine! Twinsies!

Quick baby update: My due date is Friday and we are still waiting Baby M's arrival. I may have to be induced so me or other family members will keep everyone posted!

Trunk or Treat!

We love Fiona's school. I feel so blessed to have found this place. Its associated with a church and they have a trunk or treat every year. We decided to check it out this year and Fiona was beyond in love with it! She still keeps asking me to go back! Here are some pics:
