Trick or Treat!

Halloween is always fun and this year it was even more so because Fiona totally love trick or treating. She carried her little bucket and expected treats! She never eats candy so we let her have a few pieces which was something we paid for the next week or so when she whined for candy . . .

We started the day with going to Gigi and Papa Doc's office for trick or treating and hanging out.

Then we went and visited Daddy at work!

Quick stop for legos at the bookstore,

And then to see Grammy!

We went to a few houses in the neighborhood and even ran into some family friends.

Fiona became obsessed with kids coming to the door. She would always run when the bell would ring!

All in all, it was so fun and our little owl was too "who who" cute!

Halloween Music Class

I just love it when they let us bring our cameras to music class. We normally are not allowed because it distracts the kids and we are also supposed to be just as involved. Halloween is so fun because all the kids dress up AND we get to take pics!

Painting Pumpkins!

Because Fiona is in school, she gets to paint and do art A TON. So I thought it would be fun for her to paint a pumpkin this year:

Fiona's Speech Evaluation

We finally got Fiona's speech evaluation scheduled and it was this morning. To say I was nervous was a major understatement. I watched her like a hawk during the test and I could tell where she excelled and where she didn't.

She did amazing and they said she is so smart (oh we knew that). Her scores were very good. She even tested at a 36 month old level in one category. However, her communication skills did test low at a 10 month old level. It's not that she doesn't understand, it's that she's not effectively communicating with words and other forms. They recommended her for therapy.

Speech therapy begins in a few weeks. I feel really good about what's to come and really good that we made the decision to pounce on this issue. I just wanted to update you all and leave with with a sweet picture of my baby girl.

18 Months

Where did my baby go? We are definitely in toddlerhood now :( 

Fiona goes to school 1 day a week now for 3 hours. She is learning to paint, drink from a cup and many other things! Everyday she constantly amazes me at how independent and BIG she is.

She has a stubborn streak and is refusing to talk! We have a hearing test for her next week and ask for prayers. I'll post some about our recent trip to Scotland in a few days and my new resolution is to post 1x a week!

Swim Lessons!

We decided since Fiona loves the water so much to go ahead and introduce swim lessons. She immediately took to it and already knows to kick and paddle. However, if that teacher came anywhere near her, she would freak out!

WHOAH! I need to update!

Hey all! SO SO sorry for the lack of updates. It's been a super busy summer. I've been so crazy busy with work and our schedules have been crazy. Fiona has been growing like a week. She is already into 24 month size clothes and size 5 or 6 shoes. I can't keep up! I'm just hoping we can make it through the rest of the summer in what we have.

She is literally all over the place and while she isn't talking very much yet, she understand EVERYTHING. She is so smart and problem solves and sorts shapes already. I'm starting that savings fun for Harvard!
