Oh Colorado!

Chip, Fiona and I finally made it to Chip's favorite place on earth: Colorado. It truly became heaven for me. I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life. As I'm writing this post, the entire state is on fire and near the places we visited. Saying lots of prayers.

So we decided to make the big drive with a 1 year old . . . and it wasn't at all as bad as I expected! It's like she knew we were on vacation. Fiona saw cliff dwellings, a cave, mountains galore, a gorge and we even got to see some of Chip's friends which was the real highlight. We felt like that was where we belonged. I hope so one day . . .

We left at 3am! Nothing like early morning driving!

We stopped at this little mountain town for gas and met a man from Fort Worth who retired here. He is my hero.
